Holistic Community Learning
The Sakinah Institute’s mission is to create a vibrant community firmly rooted in sound traditional sacred knowledge with a particular emphasis on spirituality. The aim is to provide a holistic learning experience for the whole community.
How many times do we recite Surah Fatihah each day? As the opening to the Quran, this surah holds many virtues that are many times unappreciated. With Ustadh Nihal Khan, join us in a weekly class that will take us deep into the surah and its themes, meanings, and virtues. Registration is required and the class will take place on Zoom.
Social and Spiritual Book Club
Sakinah Institute hosts a monthly book club meeting. Members of the community enjoy sharing their favorite passages and reflections. The book club is currently meeting virtually on Zoom. Register below to get all the details for upcoming meetings! Ustadh Kaisar Aslam is leading the book club!
In 2019, we completed Our Master Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, his Sublime Character & Exalted Attributes : Vol 1 by Shaykh 'Abdallah Sirajuddin al-Husayni. In 2020, we completed Lost Islamic History by Firas Alkhateeb.
