Ongoing Programs

Sakinah Institute hosts a monthly book club meeting. During the meeting, everyone engages in the remembrance of Allah and the Prophet (sallalahu alaihi wa sallam) through dhikr, led by Ustadh Ebadur Rahman. Following this is a discussion on the past reading. Participants enjoy sharing their favorite passages and everyone enjoys the different perspectives each individual brings. Recently, we completed Our Master Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, his Sublime Character & Exalted Attributes : Vol 1 by Shaykh 'Abdallah Sirajuddin al-Husayni. Currently, we are reading Lost Islamic History by Firas Alkhateeb.

Sakinah Institute welcomes you to a weekly halaqa focusing on knowledge, belief, prophetic practice, and spirituality. This halaqa aims to create an opportunity to build, strengthen, and adapt our understanding of essential elements of the Deen in a way to make it more practical, impactful, and enriching in our daily lives. The halaqa will be led by Br. Saleh Clemons, and will meet on a weekly basis.

The halaqa focuses on building ourselves to create sustained meaning and implementation of prophetic practice to transform and elevate our daily activities. The halaqa will run on a continuous basis and cover several books, but will begin with a focus around “Adh-Dhakheera Al-Musharrafa”, or The Glorious Treasure, written and compiled by Al-Habib Umar Bin Muhammad Bin Salim Bin Hafidh, may Allah preserve him.
